In Wyoming, we put a priority on innovation and advanced conversion technologies are leading the way. The State Legislature approved $15 million in funding for the state-of-the-art Wyoming Integrated Test Center in Gillette so that carbon emissions from a Wyoming coal fired power plant could be captured and tested. The National Rural Electric Cooperative and the Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association also chipped in, bringing the total funding to $21 million in addition to in-kind donations by Basin Electric.
