Northern Wyoming Community College District (NWCCD) is a multi-campus community college serving Sheridan, Campbell, and Johnson Counties. Their Tech Center, which is moving forward with an expansion after securing the necessary $15 million in funding offers some of the nation’s best technology training programs, presenting students with state-of-the-art technology and hands-on learning to prepare for careers in the field.

The program is offered in Associate of Applied Science degree and Certificate of Completion options and is one of the most successful and highly regarded in the tristate region. NWCCD’s Machine Tool Technology students receive important hands-on training, in addition to best theory and practical teachings for the industry. NWCCD partners with organizations and companies in the industry fields across northern Wyoming to provide internship and job opportunities for students.

The NWCCD Associate of Applied Science degree and Certificate of Completion options in Welding will provide students the necessary skills and instruction to enter the welding industry. Welding students at NWCCD have the opportunity to earn several welding certifications in various welding processes. The Technical Education Centers are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, and award-wining faculty will guide students through major welding processes such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW and Oxy fuel. MWCCD’s instructors are highly qualified, American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspectors and Certified Welding Educators.

The NWCCD Associate of Applied Science degree in Diesel Technology is one of the most successful and highly regarded in the region. Students in the Diesel Technology program receive not only important hands-on training, but also the best theory and practical teachings for the industry. NWCCD’s modern labs boast the most up-to-date diagnostic equipment with training on the newest engines from Caterpillar, AGCO, Cummins, and Detroit Diesel.
