Let’s talk about taxes. (A collective groan is to be expected, but this is good news.)

Wyoming has no individual or corporate income tax. And that’s good news for businesses located in Wyoming or looking to relocate to the state. It’s one less expense a business owner has to pay in keeping operations afloat.

According to the Tax Foundation, in 2014 “Wyoming ranks 1st in the Tax Foundation’s State Business Tax Climate Index. The Index compares the states in five areas of taxation that impact business: corporate taxes, individual income taxes, sales taxes, unemployment insurance taxes, and taxes on property, including residential and commercial property. The ranks of neighboring states are as follows: Montana, 7th, South Dakota, 2nd, Nebraska, 34th, Colorado, 19th, Utah, 9th, and Idaho, 18th.” http://taxfoundation.org/state-tax-climate/wyoming

Now, don’t you feel better about taxes? (But only if your business is in Wyoming. If you want to relocate to Johnson County, WY, give Dave Simonsen at KBJ Economic Development a call at 307.620.1260.)
